First Workflow

Workflows are where Drip CRM truly shines. They let you automate repetitive tasks like follow-ups, reminders, and lead nurturing — so you can focus on closing deals instead of chasing them.

This guide walks you through creating your very first workflow.

⚡ Step 1: Go to Workflows

  • From the sidebar, navigate to Automations → Workflows.

  • Click + Create Workflow.

🛠 Step 2: Choose a Template or Start from Scratch

  • Templates: Pick from ready-made workflows (e.g. Missed Call Text Back, New Lead Nurture).

  • Blank Workflow: Build a sequence customized to your business.

💡 Tip: For your first time, start with a template. You can always edit and expand it later.

🎯 Step 3: Add a Trigger

Triggers tell Drip CRM when to start the workflow. Examples:

  • A new contact is added.

  • A form is submitted.

  • An appointment is booked.

  • A missed call occurs.

🔄 Step 4: Add Actions

Once the trigger fires, choose what happens next. Actions can include:

  • Send SMS or email.

  • Add a tag to the contact.

  • Move contact to a pipeline stage.

  • Assign the lead to a user.

  • Wait for a set period of time before the next step.

🧩 Step 5: Add Conditions (Optional)

Conditions let you personalize the journey:

  • Example: If contact has tag “VIP,” send a personalized SMS. If not, send standard follow-up email.

▶️ Step 6: Publish and Test

  1. Review your workflow steps.

  2. Click Publish to activate it.

  3. Test by adding a dummy contact or submitting a form yourself.

✅ Example: “New Lead Welcome”

  • Trigger: New contact added.

  • Action 1: Send SMS: “Thanks for reaching out! We’ll be in touch shortly.”

  • Action 2: Wait 1 day.

  • Action 3: Send email introducing your services.

  • Action 4: Assign lead to sales pipeline stage Contacted.
