Email Identities
Email Identities are the email addresses and domains you send messages from in Dripcel. Each identity must be verified before it can be used to send email.
Adding New Identities
To add a new identity:
Go to: app.dripcel.com/email/identities.
Choose whether you want to add an email address or a domain identity.
Email Identity
An email identity verifies a single email address (e.g., you@yourdomain.com).
Steps:
Enter the email address in the input field.
Click Create email identity.
You will receive a verification email from AWS. Open it and click the verification link.
Return to Dripcel and click Check verification status under Actions.
Once verified, the Status will update to
VERIFIED.
Domain Identity
A domain identity verifies your entire domain (e.g., yourdomain.com). This allows sending from any email address on that domain.
Steps:
Enter your domain into the input field.
Click Create domain identity.
A popup will display the DNS records you need to add to your domain.
Add the provided DNS record (usually a TXT or CNAME) via your DNS/hosting provider.
Return to Dripcel and click Check verification status.
Once verified, the Status will update to
VERIFIED.
DNS Provider Guides
Here are links to instructions for some common providers. If yours isn’t listed, check your provider’s documentation on adding DNS records.
DNS/Hosting Provider | Documentation |
|---|---|
GoDaddy | Add a CNAME record |
DreamHost | How do I add custom DNS records? |
Cloudflare | Managing DNS records in Cloudflare |
HostGator | Manage DNS Records with HostGator/eNom |

Verification Status
Each identity must show VERIFIED before it can be used to send emails.
If verification fails, double-check your DNS records or re-trigger the verification process.
